Hofn or Hornafirði - Hornafjarði in Old Norse - is an ancient Icelandic fishing village situated on the southern tip of Sognefjord, a large body of water separating Iceland from Norway. It is named after the local dialectal word for Horn (Hornafjarðu) which translates as "hornfish".

Hónn is a village which is located along the southwest coastline of Iceland, and is approximately 30 miles from Reykjavik, a major city in Iceland. It is also one of the largest villages in the North East Region of Iceland and is considered as a historical center of fishing.
